SEC and CFTC Face Crypto Rulemaking With Just Three Commissioners

US crypto oversight is set to rest with three commissioners across the SEC and CFTC after SEC Commissioner Hester Peirce departs Friday. The SEC will retain Chair Paul Atkins and Commissioner Mark Uyeda, while CFTC Chair Michael Selig remains its sole commissioner. Both agencies are advancing digital-asset policy through rulemaking after the CLARITY Act failed in the Senate, with replacements not yet announced.

Kakaopay Taps Dinari and Ondo for Korean Stock Tokenization Push

Kakaopay Securities signed separate agreements with Dinari and Ondo Finance to test bringing Korean-listed shares onchain for potential overseas distribution. Dinari will run a proof of concept using its dShares model, while Ondo will study sourcing, custody, issuance and redemption infrastructure. No companies or commercial launch date have been selected, and any rollout remains subject to domestic and overseas regulation.

Bitwise Debuts First US Spot NEAR Fund on NYSE Arca
