I want to know which notes are useful, not who you are. First-party analytics count page views and engaged reads: at least 30 seconds with the page visible and 50% of the article reached. That's a reading signal, not proof anyone finished or agreed.
Only daily totals by public page, broad source, and approved campaign are saved for 90 days. No analytics cookies, visitor IDs, fingerprinting, IP addresses, full referrers, or raw query strings. A campaign label may stay in this tab for up to 30 minutes to credit a note opened from the homepage; it isn't a reader ID.
Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control are respected. Automated tests are excluded from normal reports. Blocking JavaScript or the analytics request is fine; the site still works.
Hosting and security providers, including Cloudflare, necessarily handle network requests and may keep their own operational logs. These are separate from these reading stats. External source links have their own privacy policies.
